I still do not understand why the origin forums have had to been closed - there are so many forums hosted within the UK that haven't been closed. I am sitting here, scratching my head and wondering the real background of closing https://athena.trixology.com/index.php - 
I cannot answer your question directly, but I believe that Stu has been extremely careful to protect his family from what is basically a programming hobby for himself. I think Stu is clear in this posting that he wants the WeatherCat forum to exist and he understood how important it was to the success of the software.

Hi there, it is very quiet around here in this place for WeatherCat.
I know that I haven't been contributing as much to WXForum as I did to the WeatherCat forum. Alas, my health and family situation have been making ever increasing demands on my time. I'm just running ragged at this point. Those WeatherCatters out there might enjoy this photo:
Yesterday, I took my 93 year old mother out to dinner in the car that she chose all the way back in 1968 - our 1965 Buick Special station wagon that has been in the family ever since. Some of our fellow dinners were very enamored by our wagon and it was an opportunity to give Mom credit for her choice so many years ago. Definitely one of those priceless moments!
